when i was 12, i named my journal "staranne"

Monday, Dec. 30, 1996

"My sister is literally a dirtball. She drives me up the wall! She treats me and her friends like I don't know. She is always acting like I am so stupid; I don't know what she is really thinking. Sometimes, I wanna slap her!

G.G.
'Star'
a/k/a: Misty"

Wow, what cute perspective this brought me today! Last week, I found an old journal in my memory box. This entry made me laugh, of course and I shared it with both my sister and husband. How silly, I thought.

Today while cleaning off my dresser, I found it again and realized how so much can change in 24 hours, one year, or even 14 years! I love my sister more than life and something really petty and insignificant (the fact that I cannot remember what she did to me is proof of that) caused me to write little hateful, juvenile words about her. At the time, I felt like slapping her. 14 years later, we are great friends and share a relationship most sisters aren't blessed to have.

I will be annoyed with and frustrated by a lot of people over the course of my life. This helps in reminding me to let it go and forgive... because I certainly won't remember it 14 years from now.

!!!!!!!!!!

gobbler grievances.

so i'd just like to start out by saying that i have really been enjoying blogging this week! so much in fact that i went to my blog this morning (while drinking my morning coffee) before i even checked up on....

you might ask...

well let's just say i'm waiting until i can have my gobbler surgery
and she can't bear to start her career/reality show without me

*update: if we do get our own reality show, ben will guest star on 85% of the episodes and then get his own spinoff.

1. i am not pregnant

i may be late

i may be craving peanut butter constantly

lemonade may have given me a biley sort of taste in my mouth
"biley" haha

and i might be cranky and feel utterly exhausted today...

but alas, i am not pregnant...

just a freak!!

2. people need to turn their filters on

attention:
*ahem*

i do not want to be informed that someone hates me

that's just something i'm better off not knowing.

i know it's work and all

and at the end of the day, i don't really care

but...

turn your dang filter on!!

3. text message typos are the best

I was trying to con my sister into going to the grocery store with me

definitely not in the mood to go alone today

and as much as i love conning tiffany into helping me with grocery shopping

tomorrow we are going on a real date.

so i knew i had to fly solo to aldis, kroger, marsh, and walmart
(we are most definitely trying to save money)

back to lacey.

she told me:

"Im sry, i wish i could go with u"

and i said:

"loar"

haha.

i was trying to call her a liar!!

made me giggle....

and i forgot all about somebody hating me!!

ladies and gentlemen...

firstly, i must introduce you to this:
my friends, i have been eating this by the spoonful as of late.

my record stands at 7 yesterday.
yes, 7 spoonfuls of peanut butter for an afternoon snack.

the lovely rachel bought me some to try with her recommendation, of course.

the ingredients include:
peanuts, evaporated cane juice (good sugar), vanilla, cocoa butter, palm fruit oil, lecithin, and salt... there are no hydrogenated oils and no high fructose corn syrup... yay!

check out peanut butter & company's website for all of their other enticing varities!

secondly, i am currently trying to talk tim into this:
this LACK side table from ikea is $7.99!!
this LACK coffee table is $19.99!!

these tables are such a great steal...
they are completely simple and not bulky at all,
which is exactly the direction i think we should take right now.
minimize and simplify!

that's all for now. thanks, hannah, for that bit of encouragement today. when someone stops to check in every once in awhile... i'm motivated to journal & share! :)

fabulous.
